The hackathon is focused on exploring to find writers who are exploring storytelling, filmmaking, and creative careers.
Hackathon Overview
The hackathon will be conducted in two phases. Online registrations open on 15th September, from which we will shortlist 50 top writers who will pitch in front of production houses, studios, and marketing agencies.
Problem Statement
Participants are required to develop a short story of 3-4 pages from the loglines announced on 19th September which will be shared with you. Only the final 50 participants will be selected to pitch on 26th September, out of which 3 winners will be announced at the event on 3rd October.
Through this hackathon, we hope to identify and encourage new-age creators who can tell compelling stories.
Event Format
- Hackathon (Online) – 19th September
- Pitching (Offline) – 26th September
- Winner Announcements & Top 3 pitches will be given opportunity to pitch on open mic – 3rd October
Guidelines
- Writers are allowed to choose only one logline from the 4 loglines
- Writers shouldn’t build their own story which they have written to do a film. No previously written or published work, All development must start fresh during hackathon hours
- Writers should write 3-4 pages of story and will not take submissions after deadline.Â
- Writers should build Elevator pitch to present infront of Jury and it should be with in 2min
- Story should’ve Emotional hook, clear conflict and stakes, should mention can become a Film, Series, Short
- Story should follow structure-beginning, middle, end, character clarity, dialogue sensibility.
- Writers are free to explore their own genre from the given loglineÂ
- No one will own the story what they have developed in hackathon, this is purely for hackathon.
- CINIC & LCA can help in Pitch meetings with production houses, Development feedback, Cinic profile, Industry introductions only if we get specific request from production house.

- Language rules (English, Telugu, and Tinglish)
- They should get their own laptops to write story and generate PDF and Internet will be provided
