15-Second Cinematic Challenge: "Survival"

Overview
A city-wide open challenge inviting animation, VFX, and film artists to tell a complete story of survival in just 15 seconds. Winning entries will be screened live on stage at HFF on October 3rd.
Theme
Survival. Interpret it however you want physical, emotional, environmental, mythological. The only requirement: your 15 seconds should feel like a story which has starting and ending, not a clip.
Eligible Formats
Entries may be made in any ONE of the following:
- CG / 3D Animation
- Live-Action + VFX (practical footage enhanced with visual effects)
- 2D / Stop-Motion / Hybrid Animation
Not eligible: AI-generated video, or entries where AI generation is the primary medium.
Submission Guidelines
- Duration: Exactly 15 seconds (±1 sec)
- Format: MP4, 1080p minimum, 16:9
- Team size: Individual
- Entries per participant/team: Max [1-2]
- Original work only: no copyrighted footage, music, or third-party assets without rights
- Include a one-line credit (name/team + tools used)

Winners announced + screened live : Oct 3

Entry is subject to the discretion of the host and venue management. If your behavior is deemed inappropriate or unsafe, you may be denied entry or asked to leave.
No Refund Policy
In cases of denied entry or removal due to misconduct, intoxication, or violation of guidelines, the entry fee will not be refunded.
