What to Expect from the Workshop

I’m Nishtha Agarwal, a calligraphy artist, educator and the founder of Etche, where I work primarily with calligraphy and engraving. I’m also a certified calligraphy educator. My work focuses on making lettering and calligraphy approachable while still keeping the process creative, refined and visually appealing.

For this workshop, I plan to teach the script Ribbon lettering. I’ll be covering what it is and how it looks like, its uses, the basic strokes and how they join to create a word/ phrase. Will brief on how they can take it further as well.

My main aim is to create a workshop that participants genuinely enjoy and leave with a skill they can continue practicing. From a professional perspective, I’d also like this collaboration to help me connect with a wider audience of people interested in lettering, calligraphy and creative workshops. I see it as an opportunity to build meaningful connections through the Pen Show, introduce more people to my work and ETCHE, and potentially create opportunities for future workshops, collaborations and commissions.
