A heritage walk through the rare antiquities, monuments and timeless stories of the Telangana State Archaeology Museum.

Discover the rich history preserved within Hyderabad’s oldest museum. Established in 1930 by the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, this iconic site was created to safeguard the region's ancient legacy. The museum itself is housed in a grand Indo-Saracenic architectural masterpiece, offering a stunning backdrop to thousands of years of human history. It has an Egyptian mummy, the museum's famous 2,353-year-old mummy, one of only a few preserved in India. Excavated Artefacts: Examine ancient relics recovered from major regional excavations dating back to the 1940s. Sacred Art & Sculptures: Wander through galleries filled with intricate Hindu and Buddhist stone sculptures, alongside historic imitations of the famous Ajanta cave paintings. Among various other important artefacts.
