Poetry, old stone, fading light, and a quiet Hyderabad evening. An evening of words and stories set amidst the timeless beauty of the Paigah Tombs — where every arch feels
There’s something about poetry that feels different when it is spoken in a place that already carries so many stories.
This time, we’re stepping away from our usual spaces and gathering at the Paigah Tombs — beneath intricate arches, amongst quiet courtyards and centuries-old stone, as the evening slowly settles over Hyderabad.
An evening to read poems, discover new voices, listen to stories, talk about the words that stay with us, and perhaps write a few of our own. No stage, no pressure, no need to be a poet — just a group of people coming together to experience poetry in a setting that feels almost made for it.
As the light fades, the tombs, the silence, the voices and the verses will come together to create something a little more intimate, a little more magical than an ordinary poetry meet.
So bring a poem you love, something you’ve written, or simply yourself.
An evening of poetry, history, fading light and stories — at the Paigah Tombs.
