The Know Your Bike (KYB) Workshop Series by The Engine Room (TERo) is designed to help riders become more confident, informed, and self-reliant. Whether you are a new bike owner, daily commuter, touring enthusiast, planning to buy your own bike and want to get some insights, or just someone curious to know about motorcycles, this workshop series is for you! We have designed it to help you all understand what goes on under the hood of your bike! 🏍️💨
Level 1 – Know The Basics
The perfect starting point for every rider.
Ever wondered what CC actually means? Why two bikes with the same engine feel completely different? What all those warning lights are trying to tell you? This session answers all of that and much more.
What we'll cover:
🏍️ A quick tour of your bike and its major components
⚙️ What each part does and how it contributes to the ride
📊 Bike specifications decoded — CC, power, torque, mileage, ABS and more
⚠️ Instrument cluster warning lights and what they mean
💡 Smart ownership habits that save money, improve safety, and extend your bike’s life
This session is primarily interactive and discussion-based, with plenty of real bikes, real parts, comparisons, and live demonstrations.
Level 2 – Hands-On Experience
Because every rider should know their tools before they need them.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll become familiar with the essential tools that that are almost always available in the toolkit which comes with your bike, and learn basic maintenance tasks that can get you back on the road with confidence.
What we'll cover:
🧰 Inside your toolkit
🔗 Chain cleaning and lubrication
🛑 Brake pad inspection and basic maintenance
🔧 Clutch free-play adjustment
⚡ Basic fuse diagnosis and replacement
By the end of the session, you’ll be comfortable identifying and performing simple maintenance tasks yourself!
