A beautiful folk tale brought to life through theatre, If Lanterns Could Talk! is a tender and thought-provoking story of love, longing, secrets, and the things we leave unspoken. Adapted and directed by Osman Ghani from a folk tale in A. K. Ramanujan’s collections, and presented by Red Turtle Collective & Communitie Hyderabad, this one-hour performance blends folklore, humour, emotion, and the magic of live storytelling.
Some things are said.
Some are hidden.
Some are laughed away.
And some… stay with us.
If Lanterns Could Talk is a beautiful folk tale and a thought-provoking theatre performance that explores relationships, truth, fear, and the things we choose not to say.
Moving between humour, tension, and moments of unease, the play takes us into the spaces between what people say and what they really mean.
What happens when silence becomes a story of its own?
Come experience an intimate, unsettling, and sometimes funny journey into the things we leave unspoken.
Because sometimes, the things we don't say… say everything.
