Before The Last Octopus is a short documentary following Sea Shepherd’s fight against illegal octopus fishing in the Mediterranean and the people working together to protect marine ecosystems.

About the documentary :

Before The Last Octopus was filmed alongside a live Sea Shepherd Global campaign in the Mediterranean tackling illegal octopus fishing.

The film follows crews working alongside local fishermen, scientists and authorities to locate and remove thousands of illegal octopus traps.

But it isn't only a story about illegal fishing or octopuses. It takes us into the hidden world beneath the surface, exploring the pressures facing marine ecosystems and what can happen when people work together to protect them.
